Local Reviews AI is a desktop application for local businesses — restaurants, clinics, shops — that centralises Google review management and generates professional replies using AI running entirely on your own machine.
The problem it solves: responding to reviews consistently and quickly is a task most businesses neglect, even though it has a direct impact on reputation and local SEO. This app turns a minutes-long chore into a matter of seconds.
The workflow is straightforward: the app displays all reviews with their rating, author and date. It automatically analyses the sentiment of each one (positive, neutral, negative) and flags urgent ones. When you select a review, the AI model generates a reply adapted to the tone configured for the business — formal, friendly, or professional. The reply can be edited before copying it to Google Business.
What makes this tool different is that the AI runs entirely locally with Ollama (llama3, mistral, gemma2…). No subscription, no sending customer data to external servers, no per-token cost. The business keeps full control of its data.
Built with Tauri 2 (native app in Rust) and React + TailwindCSS on the frontend. Data is stored locally in SQLite. The AI engine uses the Ollama API, configurable directly from the app with any model installed on the machine.
